Based on my experience, as an engineer, interviews usually have 4 rounds. Facing HR, technicians, leaders, HR in turn. I ask them different questions to deeper understand the job, the team and the company. Below are my questions, while I choose three or four in each round.

- Introduction of leader and skip manager
Round 2, with technicial interviewer
Technical interviews are colleagues or leaders.
- What does a typical day look like for a person in this position?
- What has been your biggest improvement since joining this company( or last year)?
- How would you describe the team culture?
- How many meetings do you attend a week?
- What internal training do you recommend?
- What other departments does this team work with most often?
- In your opinion, what is the most important factor in the success of this role?
Round 3, with leaders or managers
- Who does this role report to?
- What other departments does this team work with most often?
- Where does the data you use come from?

- Can you describe some of the team’s recent challenges or achievements?
- What would be expected of me during the first three months if I’m hired for this position?
- How do you set KPI for staff?
- How can you evaluate my performance?

- How long do individuals usually hold this position for?

Round 4, with HR
- Negotiate salary and benefits with HR
- What does the onboarding process look like?
- Is working remotely an option for this position?
- Is there an employee time clock in office?
- What are the working hours?
- Is overtime expected or allowed?
- How to pay for overtime work?
- How does your payroll management system work?
